The Science

Skinternal Synergistic Hydro Shot was formulated with key ingredients that synergistically work together to improve skin, joints, and cognitive function while replenishing the body and mind with vital nutrients. Studies have shown that the ingredients found in Skinternal's SHS may decrease inflammation and improve cardiovascular health, may improve skin tone and lubricate joints, may maintain hydration and may offer nootropic effects.

What is Collagen?

Collagen is a protein that affects almost every part of the body that has connective tissue including but not limited to the skin, nails, joints, muscles, heart and liver. It makes up approximately 65% of the body's total protein content and is made up of over 1500 amino acids.

Beneficial Effects of Collagen

Skin

The presence of collagen in skin decreases with age. Supplementation of collagen replenishes the skin's proteins assisting in the tightening of skin.

Muscle

Athletes often suffer from pain caused by strength training. Collagen’s high amino acid content helps alleviate this pain by aiding in the formation of connective tissue. This will decrease the possibility of injury and reduce arthritis.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

Skin

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant for the synthesis of collagen and maintains elasticity of the skin. Some studies show that vitamin C may protect against harmful ultraviolet rays.

Cardiovascular

Researchers have found vitamin C to highly benefit and protect cardiovascular health. It is a key element that prevents inflammatory damage and reduces cardiovascular disease at the molecular level.

In addition, there seems to be a benefit in reducing the duration of cold symptoms from ingestion of relatively high doses of vitamin C and studies suggest that it could also benefit hose exposed to brief periods of severe physical exercise.

What is a Nootropic?

Nootropics are supplements that increase cognitive function, memory, motivation and creativity.

DMAE: Dimethylaminoethanol

 (1) Short-term studies have shown an increase in vigilance and alertness with a positive influence on mood following administration of DMAE, vitamins, and minerals.

 (2) DMAE has been reported as helping to elevate mood, improve memory, and learning. Taking DMAE also manifested a decrease in irritability and an increase in academic ability.

Caffeine

Moderate doses of caffeine can improve cognitive function, which includes vigilance, learning, memory, and mood state. Administration of caffeine may provide a significant advantage. When cognitive performance is critical and must be maintained during exposure to severe stress.

 B3

Niacinamide plays an important role in many processes in the body, including the production of hormones, blood cells, and the release of energy from fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.

L-Arginine:

One of the 20 essential amino acids which helps the body produce nitric oxide, a substance that dilates bloods vessels and relaxes them to allow blood to flow better. L-arginine is used to make the nitric oxide, a compound in the body that relaxes blood vessels.

 L-Carnitine:

Required for the transport of fatty acids for the generation of metabolic energy.

 Glycerin:

Used to delay dehydration and for its ergogenic properties.
